Off-site Provision Protocols

The Off–site Protocols are designed to assist the quality assurance processes which operate across Derby in relation to pre 16 pupils accessing off-site provision.  They will contribute to widening participation, improving choice and creating pathways through to further and higher education and employment.  Each learning provider should ensure these Protocols meet the requirements of their own institution.

Success for all our 14-19 students depends on effective collaborative working. For reasons of history, specialism, facilities and staffing, not all students are able to access a curriculum ideal for their needs at their school or college. Collaboration between a range of learning providers thus ensures that individual pupils can participate in education and training appropriate to their interests and abilities.

The 6 key Protocols are:

  1. Service Level Agreement
  2. Learner Information
  3. Finance Guidelines
  4. Student Disciplinary Procedure
  5. Safeguarding Children
  6. Quality Assurance
